Channels not used[edit | edit source]

The following channels are not connected to any strip because the correspondent FEB is connected to the last connector of the anode foil

  • FEB_label=0, chip 2 --> ch. 3,4,11,22 (X-side) 41,43,45,47,54 (V-side)
  • FEB_label=8, chip 1 --> ch. 0,16,38,42 (X-side) 8,10,21,45,47,57 (V-side)
  • FEB_label=36, chip 1 --> ch. 57 (V-side)
  • FEB_label=43, chip 1 --> ch. 57 (V-side)

GEMROCs history[edit | edit source]

  • GEMROC 10 was replaced on 18.08.2019 due to the missing reset signals for 2 FEBs: after this replacement the issue was solved.

FEBs history[edit | edit source]

FEBs replacements during 2019 May's integration week:

  • GEMROC 4, TIGER 2 and 3: HW_FEB = 8 --> HW_FEB = 17
  • GEMROC 4, TIGER 4 and 5: HW_FEB = 7 --> HW_FEB = 18
  • GEMROC 6, TIGER 4 and 5: HW_FEB = 39 --> HW_FEB = 5 (No TP on T5)
  • GEMROC 7, TIGER 4 and 5: HW_FEB = 23 --> HW_FEB = 52 (No good TD values)
  • GEMROC 9, TIGER 6 and 7: HW_FEB = 14 --> HW_FEB = 7 (Can't configure T7)

FEBs left on oL1 for the Experimental Hall Test in September 2019:

FEBs replacements during 2019 September (10.09.2019):

  • GEMROC 6, TIGER 4 and 5 (FEB_label 26): HW_FEB = 5 (49*) --> HW_FEB = 50 (old FEB had missing calibration due to wrong HW label, chip 1, chip 2)
  • GEMROC 8, TIGER 6 and 7 (FEB_label 35): HW_FEB = 29 --> HW_FEB = 56 (missing TP on chip 1)
  • GEMROC 9, TIGER 2 and 3 (FEB_label 37): HW_FEB = 11 --> HW_FEB = 57 (several noisy and dead channels on chip 1 and chip 2)
* actually on the chips side it was not HW_FEB = 5, but HW_FEB = 49 --> this explains the missing/wrong calibration

FEBs replaced on L2 in November 2019:

  • GEMROC 5, TIGER 6 and 7 (FEB_label 23): HW_FEB = 34 --> 53 (dead chip due to water leakage, chip 1, chip 2)
  • GEMROC 9, TIGER 2 and 3 (FEB_label 37): HW_FEB = 57 --> 49 (some holes in the stripX 1-45, chip 1, chip 2)

FEB/TIGER issues[edit | edit source]

The following FEB or TIGER are currently disabled:

GEMROC 8 - FEB 2 (TIGER 4-5, FEB_label = 34)

  • WHEN: mid March, RUN 376-377
  • WHAT: unstable analogue VDD on TIGER 5, propagated also to other chip of same FEB (TIGER 4) and then also the whole CAEN channel
  • ACTION: cable disconnected on 23/06/2020 due to overcurrent on CAEN channel to preserve other FEBs of the same LV channel

GEMROC 9 - TIGER 0 (FEB_label = 36, chip 1)

  • WHEN: 12/05/2020, RUN 405
  • WHAT: chip does not configure

GEMROC 0 - FEB 2 (TIGER 4-5, FEB_label = 2)

  • WHEN: 29/05/2020, RUN 408
  • WHAT: missing analogue current (IA)
  • WHY: aVDD ok up to DLVPC, since no current is absorbed by the FEB the issue may be in the short-haul cable not properly connected to the FEB (aVDD is the first wire of the cable and so it is more prone to break)

GEMROC 8 - FEB 0 (TIGER 0-1, FEB_label = 32)

  • WHEN: 29/05/2020, RUN 408
  • WHAT: missing analogue current (IA)
  • WHY: aVDD ok up to DLVPC, since no current is absorbed by the FEB the issue may be in the short-haul cable not properly connected to the FEB (aVDD is the first wire of the cable and so it is more prone to break)

GEMROC 10 - FEB 2 (FEB_label = 42)

  • WHEN: 16/09/2020, NO ACQUISITION (start from post-summer RUNs)
  • WHAT: chip does configure, but the absorbed current (both analogue and digital) and FEB temperature show strange values and behaviour
  • WHY: to be investigated, from data (RUN 418-420) TIGER 85 seems ok, while TIGER 84 is almost with no data

GEMROC 10 - TIGER 7 (FEB_label = 43)

  • WHEN: 22/09/2020, NO ACQUISITION (start from post-summer RUNs)
  • WHAT: chip does not configure, the other chip on the same FEB is OK (dead after 3 days)
  • WHY: a drop of water cooling system was spotted on this FEB, may be the cause of this issue

GEMROC 10 - TIGER 6 (FEB_label = 43)

  • WHEN: 25/09/2020, NO ACQUISITION (start from post-summer RUNs)
  • WHAT: chip does not configure, the other chip on the same FEB had the same issue 3 days ago
  • WHY: a drop of water cooling system was spotted on this FEB, may be the cause of this issue
