In this page the relation between Layer 2 strips (strip-X, strip-V) and electronics channels (FEB_label and GEMROC-TIGER) is shown. This is the new mapping matching the convention used in CGEMBOSS (April 2020).

Mapping overview[edit | edit source]

Layer 2 has 1260 strip-X (0-1259) and 2154 strip-V (0-2153). It is divided into two sheets so strips are divided into two equal parts:

Sheet 0: strip-X (0-629), strip-V (0-1076)
Sheet 1: strip-X (630-1259), strip-V (1077-2153)

All Layer 2 FEBs channels follow the same order, according to the pinout shown here: L2 FEB pinout

Only channels 0-60 of each chip are connected to a strip (ch. 61-62-63 are disconnected):

chip 1 reads 14 strip-X and 47 strip-V
chip 2 reads 31 strip-X and 30 strip-V

The following channels are not connected to any strip because the correspondent FEB is connected to the last connector of the anode foil:

FEB_label=36, chip 1 --> ch. 57 (V-strip, last FEB of 1st anode foil)
FEB_label=43, chip 1 --> ch. 57 (V-strip, last FEB of 2nd anode foil)

Strip-X[edit | edit source]

Sheet 0: strip-X (0-629)
Sheet 1: strip-X (630-1259)

Sheet 0[edit | edit source]

Strips FEB label GEMROC TIGER Strips_sheet

Sheet 1[edit | edit source]

Strips FEB label GEMROC TIGER Strips_sheet

Strip-V[edit | edit source]

Sheet 0: strip-V (0-1076)
Sheet 1: strip-V (1077-2153)

Sheet 0[edit | edit source]
