Layer 3 (CGEMBOSS)
In this page the relation between Layer 3 strips (strip-X, strip-V) and electronics channels (FEB_label and GEMROC-TIGER) is shown. This is the mapping matching the convention used in CGEMBOSS.

Mapping overview[edit | edit source]
Layer 3 has 1664 strip-X (0-1663) and 2790 strip-V (0-2789). It is divided into two sheets so strips are divided into two equal parts:
Sheet 0: strip-X (0-831), strip-V (0-1394) Sheet 1: strip-X (832-1663), strip-V (1395-2789)
All Layer 3 FEBs channels follow the same order, according to the pinout shown here: L3 FEB pinout
Only channels 0-61 of each chip are connected to a strip (ch. 62-63 are disconnected):
chip 1 reads 14 strip-X and 48 strip-V chip 2 reads 32 strip-X and 30 strip-V
The following channels are not connected to any strip because the correspondent FEB is connected to the last connector of the anode foil:

The following strips are not connected to any channel because they are routed in the anode foil to empty pins of the anode-FEB connector:
X-strips (782, 783) from anode connector coupled to FEB 52 (last connector of 1st anode foil, IN side) X-strips (784, 785) from anode connector coupled to FEB 70 (last connector of 1st anode foil, OUT side) X-strips (1614, 1615) from anode connector coupled to FEB 61 (last connector of 2nd anode foil, IN side) X-strips (1616, 1617) from anode connector coupled to FEB 79 (last connector of 2nd anode foil, OUT side)
